We envision Africans as the leaders of 21st century World Christianity, as they were leaders of early Christianity.
We collaboratively research and educate on the depth of African intellectual literary achievements, especially those from the Christian tradition of the first millennium.
Thomas Oden was a renowned theologian and scholar who dedicated his later years to uncovering Africa’s vital role in shaping Christian thought.
His work, How Africa Shaped the Christian Mind, laid the foundation for the Center for Early African Christianity, inspiring a new generation of research and dialogue.
